Weekends Are Hard
I think I will only post one picture on the weekends. I find that I have less time on the weekends to work on my photos and I think that there are fewer people checking out this corner of the web. If, however, you are one who surfs blogs on the weekend only, please feel free to check out the work I have posted during the week.
I'm not very fond of this photograph. I think that is partly because I am grumpy. And tired. Whatever...I think I took the photo because I liked the two different tones of green reflecting off the water. Mildly interesting I suppose. Not much Photoshopping here.
Thanks for all the feedback you guys leave. Feel free to be very honest with me if a photo is not as strong as it could be. I don't want this to turn into some sort of feel good exercise. The point is to improve my skills.

I really like this one, but I can't help wondering if it would work better if you flipped it.
Either way, the colors are rich and the details are crisp.
I like this, the colours are strong and the reflection is clear. Its a good capture.
I like this as well. I really like that you chose only to show the reflected image and not the actual leaves. It's more dramatic. Colour range of greens is superb.
I commented about rotating the shot to see how it would look, well I have a reflection shot that I posted as as part of a small series of shots as well. I flipped it and it I thought it looked interesting at every rotation, but I chose to leave it as I took it. The same is probably true of this shot. It will look good from any rotation.
Very painterly image Timmy! I like it! I agree, about your single weekend posting... I find it hard to shoot and keep up with blogs on the weekend too, since I prefer to be outside shooting on the weekends, rather than editing pix or e-mailing.
I love the colours here.Although I would have included more of the the plant - in fact the whole thing because when its cut off - the reflection doesnt have a grand effect. No doubt I like this shot though (especially on this black background) - lovely greens and it is a good shot.
I like this a lot, the rich greens and the abstract reflections make it more than just a picture of the lakeside.. i really do like this one
:o)

some thing surréaliste ;) I love ;)
I'm not a pro. am afraid cant give you much useful feedback. I comment base on my feelings about the photo and I truly like this :)
like an impressionist painting!
nice reflection.
I hope you get ungrumpy soon!
I know what you mean about week ends, I quit posting and blogging on weekends because I don't want my hobby to become a daily grind, I like the abstract paiterly feel to this
Hmm, the shot's okay, but I think it would have looked better with the plant included. Don't know that for sure though, just guessing.
I like it. Like you said the two tones of green are interesting along with the texture the water creates.
I like the vibrant green tones and the texture in the water. Very lovely.
Nice line of reflections -- subtle!
Nice one! The reflection almost looks like a painting.
Nice reflection!
Hi timmybomb
I like this refrection.
You should print this one big and hang it on the wall!
Wonderful in the way that this piece gives the viewer plenty to study, and is easy with the eyes.
The comp, the colors and lighting, ... wonderful!!!
30 avril , weekends are hard.
J'adore cette photo !
Elle me fait penser à certains tableaux de Claude Monet .
