Re-tread 1
I'm a bit short on time today, so I'll take this opportunity to post a revision of something I shared with you last week. Suby caused quite a stir (as he likes to do) when he chastised me for posting an unfinished work. I have responded by making some improvements and hopefully strengthening the image.
I cropped the photo in two different ways and took out the bothersome shadow. I have posted the two versions in separate entries because the website doesn't seem to allow you to see large versions of two photos in the same post. What are your thoughts?
I'll be back to original material tomorrow.

Eeeeccckk, I don't know where to start. If I say what is exactly on my mind, I will start getting dislike mails, oh what the hell, DOES MY FACE LOOK BOFFERED. So here goes.
You say you have reworked the shot, uhhhhuh, yup apart from cropping I still see the exact same shot that DEFINITELY deos not light any fires in Subster town.
Now for those of you who think Suby is a Photoshop junkie, I am not, I only use it to enhance my shots. I actually do not PP a majority of my shots. Have a look at this image on my blog http://suby.shutterchance.com/photoblog/1806.htm no PP at all, still a good image(at least I hope). Now the trick is to know when to admit one needs help and PP and when one can say, naaaa, fine just as I took it.
Now this shot is begging for something to bring it to life. Cropping the shadows out has none nothing to make it a wow, great shot comments I read before (and will definitely read again). You know what, I don't know if there is any way of rescuing this shot but I am willing to give it a try.
Timmy can you send me the original file and lets see if the Subster can put his money where his mouth is.
People I still love you all :)
Suby

Oh did I forget to point out there was no improvement to this shot at all? If I did, want to stress the point. If I didn't oh well.
P.p.s
Send me the file quick and I will try to work on it ASAP, If I can't it will be sometime next week. Getting married you see on Saturday and have this huge wedding we are in the middle of planning oh the homeymoon. :)
P.p.p.s
Timmybomby, you still love me don't you? He he he he he
I like the crop and the shadow being removed.
I'm not sure what else you could do, but I will say that Suby has me wondering what he would do with it that you hadn't tried.
I love the cropped version! Isn't it wonderful how a little cropping can make a huge difference?
I'm a fan of the original.
Wow Suby left a composition there. To keep my opinion unbiased I'll read it later.
I love the shot : the colours, the textures and I'm a fan of it.GREAT GREAT SHOT!
I see you maybe increased the saturation a little and it looks good. I still like this shot. And I still stand by my previous comment to use Photoshop if YOU feel a shot needs it, but if you like it the way it is, then that's all that matters. In my opinion, there is a fine line between "just enough" post processing and going nuts with Photoshop to the point over overprocessing. But again, it all depends on what you like. Just my 2 cents' worth. :-)
You are keen to improve your specialized knowledge and skills, right? I really admire your work.
